Габариты объясняются использованием небольшого дисплея (2,8 дюйма по диагонали), который обладает QVGA-разрешением. Поскольку модель бюджетная, используемый сенсор в ней резистивный, его чувствительность не такая высокая, как у емкостных сенсоров.
В функциональность программной платформы входит поддержка виджетов, возможность установки JAVA-приложений, есть также предустановленные клиенты социальных сетей. Набор беспроводных возможностей ограничен — в Т320 нет поддержки сетей третьего поколения, присутствует лишь Bluetooth 2.0 (Wi-Fi, GPS отсутствуют). Зато у LG T320 Cookie Style есть 3.5 мм аудиоразъем, позволяющий использовать тачфон в качестве плеера.

Анонсированный в начале года в Барселоне смартфон Iconia Smart можно отнести к экспериментальным моделям. Резонно возникают сомнения в том, насколько удобно пользоваться мобильником с экраном в 4,8 дюйма. По своим габаритам модель очень близка к Dell Streak (он обладает 5" экраном), который позиционируется уже как мини-планшет. Пусть тогда Iconia Smart будет макси-смартфоном.
Хотя увеличенные габариты могут доставить трудности с точки зрения эргономики (поместится не в каждый карман, да и не совсем ясно, как держать почти 200 г у уха при длительном разговоре), они несут в себе и ряд преимуществ. Вряд ли кто-нибудь откажется от дисплея с не только увеличенной диагональю, но и с разрешением 480х1024 пикселей. Это нововведение выводит на другой уровень комфорта мобильный серфинг и просмотр видео, но, с другой стороны, вызывает вопрос о совместимости приложений.
Компания Acer предусмотрела этот момент и предложила в стандартной программной конфигурации собственный, адаптированный интерфейс и расширенный набор софта. Беспокоиться о быстродействии устройства не стоит: он оснащен производительным процессором Qualcomm MSM8255-1 с тактовой частотой 1 ГГц и работает под управлением новейшей версии Android 2.3.

Представленный Motorola девайс стал одним из самых оригинальных Android-устройств. Его выделяет предложенный производителем форм-фактор: в Droid PRO имеется физическая QWERTY-клавиатура, при этом он выполнен в моноблочном форм-факторе. Размеры сенсорного дисплея немаленькие: матрица имеет разрешение 320х480 пикселей, а по диагонали занимает 3,1 дюйма. Такие параметры часто встречаются в Android-фонах среднего уровня, не имеющих клавиатуры.
Поскольку крупного навигационного блока не предусмотрено (все управление осуществляется при помощи сенсорного дисплея и строки сенсорных клавиш прямо под ним), увеличение габаритов стало несущественным.
Droid PRO работает под управлением Android 2.2, функциональность которого расширена за счет фирменного интерфейса MotoBLUR, предусматривающего широкие возможности персонализации. Производительность смартфона на высоком уровне благодаря использованию ARM-процессора с тактовой частотой 1 ГГц.
В общем, Droid PRO может заинтересовать как бизнес-пользователей (для быстрого отклика на корпоративную почту), так и для поклонников социальных сетей.

BlackBerry Тorch — это еще один вариант объединения сенсорного экрана и QWERTY-клавиатуры. В данном случае устройство получило конструкцию вертикального слайдера. В закрытом состоянии смартфон можно воспринимать как моноблок.
Дисплей может похвастаться разрешением 360х480, чего явно маловато для смартфона, претендующего на hi-end сегмент. Управление возможно двумя способами — сенсорным дисплеем либо клавишным навигационным блоком. В обоих случаях можно полноценно производить навигацию, определенной категории пользователей такое двойное управление обязательно придется по душе.
Фирменная мобильная платформа BlackBerry оставляет двойственные впечатления. Заметен результат работы, которую компания провела для адаптации интерфейса к сенсорному экрану и улучшение его визуальной составляющей, но все равно во многом BlackBerry OC отстает от ведущих мобильных платформ. Это проявляется как в недостаточно функциональной оболочке (например, в скромной информативности и функциональности главного экрана), так и ограниченном количестве совместимых приложений. Но, разумеется, когда речь идет о BlackBerry, нельзя забывать о наборе фирменных приложений и сервисов, являющихся «сердцем» ее платформы — удобного e-mail клиента, IM-мессенджера и так далее.

Fly Q300 обладает физической QWERTY-клавиатурой, размещенной под дисплеем, которая имеет стандартную 4-рядную раскладку. Это одно из главных преимуществ этой модели. Кроме того, нельзя не отметить яркое оформление телефона. Второе немаловажное преимущество — DualSIM-функциональность. Стоит отметить, что активным является лишь один SIM модуль: в режиме ожидания одновременно доступны обе SIM-карты, но в режиме разговора вторая SIM-карта становится недоступной.
С функциональной точки зрения модель Fly является типичным представителем локализованной версии «китайской» платформы МТК. Количество заявленных функций достаточно широко, но реализация далеко не каждой из них вызывает положительные впечатления.

В портфолио мобильных телефонов Philips постепенно расширяется количество моделей с поддержкой двух SIM-карт. 513-ая модель также относится к их числу. Внешне это аккуратный и достаточно компактный моноблок со строгим, немного угловатым дизайном. Дисплей имеет QVGA-разрешение и выделяется хорошим качеством среди телефонов среднего уровня. При просмотре изображения под углом искажение несущественное, также матрица позволяет достаточно комфортно читать на улице в солнечную погоду.
Программная начинка Philips, к сожалению, имеет китайские «корни», это проявляется в местами нелогичном меню, неприятных шрифтах и характерных ограничениях вроде необходимости загрузки музыкальных файлов в одну папку для ее распознавания плеером.
При этом DualSIM-возможности в телефоне реализованы без нареканий. Модель не демонстрирует проблем с качеством приема, списки звонков и папки сообщений разделены для удобства по различным папкам для разных SIM. Сильной стороной Philips Xenium X513 является продолжительное время автономной работы, он способен работать более недели без подзарядки. Это один из лучших показателей во всей истории мобильных телефонов.
MTS QWERTYМТС QWERTY

Пример брендированного операторского устройства. Он относится к бюджетному классу, что очевидно, но при этом обладает физической QWERTY-клавиатурой. Первое, что выдает принадлежность к нижнему ценовому сегменту — дисплей с посредственной цветопередачей и минимальными углами обзора.
Программная платформа проприетарная, это китайская программная база МТК. Ее функциональность совпадает с большим количеством телефонов от производителей второго эшелона, которые не тратят свои усилия на создание фирменной оболочки. Встроенной памяти у МТС QWERTY всего 16 МБ. Однако наличие слота для карт памяти microSD позволяет существенно расширить этот объем и без проблем использовать телефон в качестве плеера.
Преимуществом МТС QWERTY на фоне недорогих телефонов стала поддержка JAVA-приложений, это позволит значительно расширить функциональность девайса. Еще одним немаловажным достоинством является цена: это самый доступный телефон с QWERTY-клавиатурой.
МТС TouchМТС Touch

Еще один недорогой операторский мобильник, на этот раз принадлежащий классу тачфонов. Корпус компактный, выполнен из пластика с использование глянцевых вставок. Последние делают его не очень практичным. Дисплей имеет неплохое разрешение — WQVGA, которое при диагонали в 2,8 дйюма дает очень четкую картинку. Качество матрицы, впрочем, закономерно низкое: страдает насыщенность и углы обзора.
Программные возможности включают в себя виджеты для рабочего стола (ограниченный набор без возможности расширения), доступные изначально программы исполняют лишь основные системные и организационные функции. Реализация медиавозможностей в Touch исполнена без особого рвения. Например, в модели отсутствует 3,5 мм разъем, что не позволяет его рассматривать в качестве полноценной замены плееру.
Каким преимуществом обладает МТС Touch по сравнению с конкурентами от более известных брендов? Уступая им с точки зрения функциональности, он может похвастаться лишь скромной ценой. Впрочем, для многих этот момент является решающим.

Acer beTouch E140 относится к Android-смартфонам начального уровня. Он компактный и легкий, полностью сделан из глянцевого пластика. Дисплей характеризуется разрешеним 240х320 пикселей. В роли центрального процессора — 600-мегагерцовый чип ARM 11, а объем оперативной памяти равен 256 МБ. Программно смартфон базируется на Android 2.2. Следует признать, что для модели начального уровня это вполне адекватные характеристики. Особенно радует поддержка HSPA-сетей, которые могут обеспечить быстрое подключение к сети. В свою очередь, модуль WLAN и сопутствующее программное обеспечение позволяет использовать Е140 в качестве беспроводного модема. Мультимедийный функционал представлен 3,2-мегапиксельной встроенной камерой, аудио-видео плеером и FM-тюнером.
В итоге, у beTouch Е140 выделяются как негативные моменты (недостаточно качественный дисплей, глянцевый корпус), так и положительные (поддержка HSPA-сетей, использование Android Froyo). Однозначно привлекает лишь демократичная цена.

Последний смартфон Apple примечателен более тонким корпусом, полностью переработанным дизайном и многочисленными мелкими улучшениями. Самым значительным среди них определенно является дисплей, разрешение которого составляет 960х640 пикселей — это самое большое разрешение среди телефонов/смартфонов на данный момент.
Начинка в «четверке» также не подвела: смартфон обладает гигагерцовым процессором и 512 МБ ОЗУ, даже с учетом дебютировавшей многозадачности и добавления ранее отсутствовавших функций (тот же видеозвонок, к примеру), предъявить нарекание к быстродействию аппарата нельзя. Обновленная программная платформа стала «лекарством» для противников бывшей ограниченности iOS. Камера также изменилась в лучшую сторону, разрешение составило 5 Мп.
Высокая популярность смартфону обеспечена не только за счет узнаваемого бренда, но и заинтересованности владельцев предыдущих iPhone поменять свою модель на более современную версию, так и новопривлеченными покупателями, которых раньше останавливали программные особенности.

Future of cell phones – experts from Intel and Nokia are crossing telephony and Holography!

Intel, Nokia and the University of Oulu (Finland) officially opened a joint research institution, called the Joint Innovation Center («joint innovation center"). There it is, new Samsung E2152 with 2 SIM-cards. Are you using double-sim cell-phones? As for me it is good to have such mobile. Nokia has mobile with 2 sim-cards, but Samsung was first and I suppose it is the one who is better at the moment, well, time will show.

Last double-sim from Samsung is E2152 which is simple and cheap device. I'm loooking at mobile's spec and it says that E2152 gas QVGA display, mp3 player, FM-radio and VGA camera. That's not bad for low price, as it is announced - only $115 and it is coming in august. Well, we'll see what Samsung has prepared for us :-) .
